He told me the only reason he asked me to marry him was because he felt "forced to do so", and maintained that for a year of our engagement.  

Eventually though he admitted that he was just scared.  The night we got married he looked at me  and said he is glad he got a little push b/c he was so happy he had done it and that he was sorry.

His apology although a year late and MANY tears later was worth it.

I have been married twice.

My first husband who was a very cruel and mean person would constantly bring up things he knew would hurt me such as... He would say I am a disappointment to my adoptive parents and they regret adopting me. I am stupid. I am fat. I am ugly etc...

My current husband who is by nature a nice man has lied to me. He lies about stupid things and he is so bad at lying he almost always get caught but it does hurt and make me cry.

The difference is my first husband tried to hurt me and my current husband doesn't really set out to hurt me.

He cheated on me 4 times with the same woman after all he kept saying that he was sorry. Ironically there's nothing I can do concerning that I have 3 kids and jobless. And worse of all .... I still love him!

He promised to quit drinking alcohol and then continued by trying to hide the fact that he was drunk most of the time.  We are now divorced and I'm very happily single!

Mine likes to tease... and he teases about things that I am worried about, or uncomfortable about because he gets a reaction out of me. He forgets this- then says I am too sensitive when I get upset. Lately it's whenever he insults my cooking, or cleaning, or my appearance- even though he thinks its funny it hurts me.
