  1. When the Mets traded Joselo Diaz and Scott Kazmir to Tampa Bay for Victor Zambrano and Bartolome Fortunato.

  2. Babe Ruth to the Yankees is obviously the worst trade ever.

Another that nobody has said yet is the Houston/Boston trade of 1990 when Jeff Bagwell was traded for Larry Anderson.

Anderson was part of Bostons' playoff run, however the lost in the ALCS and then Anderson was lost to free agency.

In regards to Bagwell (check out these numbers/achievements...)

NL Rookie of the Year, NL MVP, NL All-Star, Gold Glove Award, Silver Slugger Award.

    Career:  .297, 449, 1529 and .540 slugging percentage

  3. It has to be Babe Ruth getting trade to the Yankees for Cash.

  4. Michael P should get the 10 points, as that is the correct answer. However, in recent history, the Mets have the current title when they send Scott Kazmir to the Devil Rays for Victor Zambrano!!!!

  5. THE MANNY RAMEREZ TRADE WHY WOULD YOU EVEN ASK THAT YOUD HAVE TO BE A COMPLETE JERK OFF TO GET RID OF MANNY DUMB RED SOXX TOSSERS

  6. babe ruth getting traded to the yankees for nobody

  7. worst trade would have to be giants sending Joe Nathan, Francisco Liriano, and Boof Bonser to the Twins for AJ Pierzinski......terrible trade for San Fran

  8. worst trade of all time: Babe Ruth to the Yankees for 125,000 $

worst trade on the Marlins: Derrick Lee to the Cubs for Hee-Seop Choi and a minor league player.

  9. well, i sure can tell you da most overated 1

  10. On December 15, 1900 the Cincinnati Reds traded Christy Mathewson to the New York Giants for Amos Rusie.

    Stats after the trade:

Christy Mathewson (with the Giants) - 372 wins, 188 loses, 2.12 ERA

Amos Rusie (with the Reds) - 0 wins, 1 loss, 8.59 ERA

    Another one not mentioned:

Baltimore traded Curt Schilling, Pete Harnisch and Steve Finley to Houston for Glenn Davis.

BTW Nolan Ryan was traded with LEROY STANTON, Frank Estrada and Don Rose for Fregosi.

  11. Francisco Liriano and Joe Nathan for AJ Piersynski

Liriano still have the look of being something huge and Joe Nathan is one of the most domant closers in the game today.

AJ doesnt even play for the Giants anymore and hes not really a fan-fav rite now.

  12. When the SD Chargers traded the took Ryan Leaf over the Colts Peyton Manning.

    Oh baseball???

Still that is the worst trade ever!

baseball however,  when Barry left Pittsburgh

  13. The Rays traded Bobby Abreu for Kevin Stocker right after the expansion draft.

  14. In Reds history -- Milt Pappas to the Reds in January 1961 for Frank Robinson, who went on to play in 4 World Series and win an AL MVP in his Triple Crown season of 1966 at age 32 (I believe).

  15. Moelher for Haren

  16. Mets sending Nolan Ryan and Lee Stevens to Angels for Jim Fregosi in 1972.  Fregosi was washed up, Stevens became an All-Star, and Ryan... well, you may have heard he became a good pitcher after the trade.  Imagine a rotation of Ryan, Tom Seaver, Jerry Koosman and Jon Matlack.  There might have been a Subway Series or two in the 1970s, if the Mets hadn't been, well, the Mets.

  17. Off the top of my head, the Cubs trading Lou Brock to the Cards ranks up there...I mean, it's one thing to give up a Hall of Famer....but to hand him to your arch-rival is just awful...

...and on that note, you have to consider Babe Ruth to the Yankees.  There are bad trades involving stars, All-Stars and Hall of Famers...but Ruth is a baseball Demi-God.

  18. Don't know if this is the worst, but the Phillies traded a young Ryan Sandberg and veteran gold glove shortstop Larry Bowa to the Cubs for Ivan DeJesus.

  19. Babe Ruth going to Yankees after Red Sox traded him away.

Sammy Sosa Chicago White Sox gave Sammy to the Cubs.

And Manny Ramirez to the LAD. COME ON! Haha sucks for the Red Sox.

C.C. Sabathia going to Brewers. Must've been a loss to the Indians.
