  1. Preferences are saved settings that apply every time you use Yahoo! to search the Web. Just click on the "Preferences" link on search.yahoo.com or near the top of your web results page to view and change your search settings. You can save changes to your computer or you can sign in to save your search preferences to your Yahoo! ID.

You can select the following search preferences:

SafeSearch Filter: SafeSearch can be set to filter recognized explicit, adult-oriented content and images out of your search results. SafeSearch may be set to one of three modes and can be password protected. Please keep in mind no filter is perfect, and Yahoo! cannot guarantee that all explicit content will be recognized and filtered out of results.

Language: Our search includes web sites from all over the world, so your results may include sites written in English, Japanese, Spanish, or other languages. If you'd like to limit your search to certain languages, you can select them here. Choose as many as you'd like.
