  1. 21 years old

  2. You should try to meet someone in the cruise line industry and look for a bar tending school you can go to when you are 18 or 21 years old. In the meantime you should enter this dream job contest where you can win the chance to be a bartender for a day!

  3. You need to be 18 for certain jobs, some states or country's require you to be the age of 21 to work behind the bar because you need to be 21 to able to sell alcohol.

You must have the legal right to live and work whatever country you may live in e.g. Canada, Uk, United States etc, basically means you need a valid and up to date passport.

Apart from that you should be ok.

    Good luck mate!

  4. 18 years old for the following positions:

    Production cast

    Spa/Salon Employee

21 years old for all other positions.

  5. 21 to work behind a bar due to laws regarding alcohol.

90% of cruise lines take all there staff 21 or older, however Carnival take on at 20 for most positions, they do make exceptions every now and again. I have just got a job with Carnival as a purser and i am only 19 years old.

if you do beauty they take on at 18,

    Dancers they sometime take 17+

  6. I think you are still a bit too young to get that sort of job, but may be OK in a year or two. But try phoning up the shipping company's recruitment department and ask them.In doing so, bear in mind employment laws vary from country to country and in the case of a merchant ship laws depends on the flag on the stern of the ship not your nationality. Many cruise liners operate under a flag of convenience, such as Liberia, Panama or the Bahamas where there is no age discrimination..

  7. In England, by law you have to be 18.

However, depending on the job you are actually applying for you might not be accepted until you are 21.

If you join the cruise line as a concession (Hair dresser, beautician, fitness, photog, shoppie) 18 is the norm..

  8. Ik Carnival says u must be @ least 18 but since u wanna be a bartender i am not sure

  9. i think you will need to be 18 possibly 21 depending on laws around alcohol  in states, canada some states you have to be 21 to  buy sell booze.

  10. I started working for Norwegian Cruise Lines America just after I graduated high school at age 18.  I worked as wait staff and I was able to sell and serve alcohol.  A good friend of mine was only 20 when he got promoted to head wine steward.  By the way, NCLA was and is my first job ever so I never had any previous experience.  I've been there three years now.  I love ship life.  If you start young like I did with no bills to pay, it's a GREAT way to save money.  Good luck if you decide to do it though because it's not for everybody.  I've seen many, MANY people get fed up with the company and quit or get fired for stupid things like being drunk or skipping shifts.  If you want to know more feel free to e-mail me sometime.  idenc05@yahoo.com
