  1. Air rifle competition

Olympic grade 10 meter air guns

You can pick up a FWB 300 for around $600 - Accuracy is around .04 c-t-c at 10M or 1/25th of an inch.

That is, unless you have an extra $3,000 for a new FWB 603 or 700

If you're talking about "Field Target" competition and not 10M then you might want to take a look at the RWS 54.

  2. target shooting clubs are all over the country, go on line find your local club , don't and i mean don't buy a gun until you have investigated and gone to a club because the use specialist guns so it may be a total wast , it is I am told a very rewarding sport good luck.

  3. Are you talking Paper target shooting, bell target or field target shooting?

As one guy has mentioned the Feinwerkbau 300 FWB is a mighty fine air rifle. It would be suitable for paper and bell target.

For field target you have a choice of spring or PCP.

Spring for me would be the Air arm TX200.

For PCP take a look at Daystate, RWS & Ripley.

Should you take to the sport Air arms EVO2 or Steyr LG110FT.

My advice would be to pop along to The Midland Game fair at Weston Park, Staffordshire. 20/21 Sept. Checkout the field target section ther its massive.
