  1. Perhaps you are working on a school project, so i'll give a serious answer to your question.

The global warming paradox is not one paradox.

It exists at different levels in different contexts.

On the one hand, despite increase in temperature of Earth as a whole, we have seen harsher winters. This is one paradox.

On an macro-economic plane, a strong economy contributes to direct global warming. On the other hand, it provides resources to reduce future global warming. This is the second paradox. http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/...

There is also the global warming paradox of the 50's, 60's & 70's. For some time, scientists have wondered why, during the '60s and '70s, temperatures remained relatively stable, or even got colder, while at the same time there were plenty of greenhouse gases to crank up the thermostat. To explain this, scientists thought that the increased particulate pollution decreased the sunlight reaching the Earth. http://www.grist.org/news/maindish/2004/...

On the botanical level, there is a study of another global warming paradox. Scientists discovered that with increasing CO2 concentration less new carbon was retained in the soil - the converse of what was expected. It was assumed that under higher CO2 conditions the trees would grow faster and release more carbon into the soil via the roots and that therefore, more carbon would be retained in the soil. The experiment showed that this may not be the case, because at increased CO2 concentrations more of the extra carbon transferred to the soil by the tree roots was simply released back into the atmosphere through the respiration of soil micro-organisms.

ABC and Channel 4 had screened The Great Global Warming Swindle last year. It propounded that the global warming threat was a creation of scientists trying to get funding to research this. Though it may not be the truth, there were some interesting discussions in this program. Try and get hold of it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Great_G...

I hope all this helps you with your research
