  1. i only know maslow

The theory of motivation according to maslow is the driving force that guides a behavior .Maslows hierarchy of needs  - those needs have to be met to achieve a state of comfort.

Some other authors define motivation as  factors that arouse ,sustain and direct a behavior .For example when we are hungry we are motivated to eat .

maslow's theory also include the hierarchy of needs which are

    Physiological needs-like food ,water,oxygen ,sleep.

    Safety needs-safety security ,shelter.

    Social needs-have friends,be loved & appreciated.

    Esteem needs-self respect ,competence,approval

Self actualisation needs -to become all  that one is capable of becoming.
