  1. Wow thats a pretty broad question. Okkies aussies like bbq anything, bbq steak, bbq prawns, bbq chops, bbq onions ect. If you go to a Restraunt in Australia you have a huge range of different meals but we love our steak and we love our seafood.

Shopping malls are ok. If your from the states you'll be dissapointed (i used to live in america) They are small, much smaller, and are more expensive.

The australia zoo is an awsome place to visit but i'm bias as I love animals of any kind. It's not like the zoo's in america i visited, it's not all caged up so much. More open and you get too see alot of australia wildlife and some international fav's like the tigers.

And what else is there to do in australia? well theres heaps. Its got the best place in the world to scuba/snorkel (great barrier reef), it has mile and miles of beaches to sun bake on, swim in, jet ski on, fish from, boat in, we have some awsome pubs to share drinks with freinds at. We have ayres rock to check out, theres the opera house and sydney harbour. There's heaps just depend what your into.

  5. Australian food is very multi-cultural - italian, indian, thai, chinese, vietnamese, middle eastern, french etc. We don't have as much mexican food as America and we don't eat as much junk.  Our serving sizes tend to be a bit smaller and what you call appetizers we call entrees, and what you call entrees we call mains.  People barbeque a lot because of our warm weather and outdoor lifestyle.

Australian life doesn't seem to be centred around shopping malls like it is in the US.  It would be a bit sad if you came all this way with so much to see and do here and you spent your time looking for shopping malls.

Australia zoo is relatively new as far as zoos go so it is still being developed.  It is very large which is good for the animals (a bit free-range).  It is very commercialized but I think because they are raising money for endangered species and buying habitat that's OK.  There are many other zoos in Australia which are as good or better but because of Steve Irwin's profile people only seem to ask about his.

All of Australia's cities are very nice to visit and Australia has many amazing natural attractions.  The Great Barrier Reef, Fraser Island, Uluru, The Kimberleys, Daintree Rainforest, Tasmanian Wilderness (just to name a few).
