  1. The Budweiser Brewery in Fort Collins, take the tour and get free beer. The Clydesdales are stabled there too.  While in Denver, try to catch a show at the Red Rocks Amphitheater. What a beautiful scene.

  2. I would suggest visiting Colorado Springs, where you can drive through the Garden of the Gods park (giant red sandstone spires and rock walls) and then drive or take the Cog Railway up to the summit of Pikes Peak at the edge of town.

Then I would take a road trip 3 hours southwest and visit the Great Sand Dunes National Park near Mosca, Colorado.  This park is simply amazing, with 700 foot sand dunes at the base of several 14,000 foot mountains.

    You won't be disappointed!   :)

  3. Well there is one place I have heard of in Denver called the Molly Brown House and Museum.  This might seem quite boring to some, but I have always wanted to visit there.  It is a beautiful Victorian in its original turn-of-the-century splendor that was, in 1912, home to the "Unsinkable" Molly Brown, the famous passenger on Titanic who was played by Kathy Bates in the movie.  I heard that, having come into money through marriage only, she was never really accepted by Denver's high society and left the house after only a short few years.

Of course, almost everyone goes to Colorado to see the Rocky Mountains and to go skiing.

  4. So many things...you need to visit one part of the state at atime and see things that are close together there.  for instance in the south central and southwest part...The little town of Alamosa.   Near there is the great Sand Dunes National Park, Hot Springs and hot springs pools, the san Juan Mountins, Mesa Verde national Park ( most amazing place i have ever seen.) four corners, The little town of La Veta with the gorgeoud surrounding mountains and great places to camp.    Silverton and Durango and the train trip between them, esp. in the fall.    In and near Denver are many city and outdoor activities.  Denver has an outstanding Museum, zoo, art museum, Coors field,  Elitch Gardens Amusement Park, 16th st mall, the Denver Mint, and great restaurants.  North of  Denver, near Boulder is the Buttefrly Pavilion...great place, the town of Boulder, Rocky Mountain National Park...fantastic, the town of Estes park.  Colorado has enough to do to keep you busy on several vacations.  Colorado is too big tocover the state on one trio.  Select an area and then research activities within one hundred miles and "do" that area.
