  1. DublinEvents.com site might help you

  2. Everything!!!

Pick up a Fodor's guide, it will list all the sights and you can plan what you want to do day to day.

The DART- the rapid transit- goes virtually everywhere.  You may not need a car at all if you plan well.

    Our absolute favourites:

*visit the Guiness factory and take the tour

*visit the National Museum- the Celtic gold jewelry is unbelievable (Ireland was always known for its gold and jewelry production)

*take the bus up to Navan, Co Meath- about 45 minutes away OR rent a car and go: do Hill of Tara, and Newgrange.  Right outside Newgrange is an awesome craft shop with a weaver (Imram Weavers) and a handcarved wood shop- incredible original art at decent prices.

*Check out Dublin Castle and take the tour

    *St Stephen's Green

    *Phoenix Park

*Bray- a suburb with a long excellent beach strand to walk.  Bono lives in Bray.

*Dun Laoighaire (pronounced dun Leery)- another great oceanside ramble.

*Trinity College- view the Book of Kells

*pub crawl- but be careful.  Some skinheads beat up a tourist near the Liffey right after we left the same area.  Study the tour book and map out where you are going- don't look obviously nonlocal.

Remember- Dublin is a big city and has the same big city problems we have here, including drugs and gangs and organized crime.

We've never had a problem, but we are urban-oriented tough folk:)

Have a wonderful time- you will love Ireland!  I go whenever I can.
