cheap, free, fun; off the beaten path, non-touristy sights, dance places, bars/pubs, both laid back and adventurous, boat things, coast, mom/pop eateries

  1. Well I've never been to Granada (even though I really want to go) so I can't help you there..I lived in Madrid for a little bit so maybe I can point you to a few places:

Templo de Debod (my personal favorite) it's got a little museum and it's a really nice place to take pictures.  It's within walking distance of Plaza de España.  Oh and it's free! Maybe a little touristic, but it's worth seeing.

There's also the whole area around Cuartel de Conde Duque..there's a museum and if you go during the summer they have open air concerts in the patio (these are not free though).  You'll find pubs and really nice places to eat around there as well.  Try "El Jardin Secreto" for drinks or for a quick bite.

    Hope this helps!
