  1. Praia da Luz is in a tourist centre with cosmopolitan life, so you can do many things there. Praia da Luz organises buffets, coktails and dinners in group.

there are concerts, theatre and exhibtions.

In this beach there is the possibility of hiring diverse marine equipment-tourism, such as boats and "gaivotas".

You can visit too the roman ruins in Vila da Luz.

    Have fun!

  2. First thing is beach. If you want to meet people there, its easily, there are a lot of foreigns in discos, bars and beach and they all seem friendly.

Im portuguese and know what is good there. Beach, Discos, Bars and nice beautiful calm places where you can go with your bf. Just look for one at dawn, those places are easy to find.

  3. beach, restaurants, bars, discos, shopping.

Lagos - an important city - is just 2 miles from Luz.

You can fin in Lagos, some interesting cultural life (i think there's a short-movies festival in July-August), museums, expositions, etc.

Lagos is also an important city in our history: it was one of the major ports in Portugal, from the XIV to the XVII century.

From Lagos, hundreds of caravelles, galleons and ships went to the discoveries, cruzades, battles with moors, fighting pirates, etc

Already the fenitians and romans settled in Lagos. Its original name was Lacobriga. That's why the people from Lagos are known as "Lacobrigenses" (lah-coo-bree-jen-sses)

Apart of that, there are dozens of good, restaurants, bars and a couple of discos in Lagos.

  4. Praia = beach.  swim, sun yourself, windsurf.  Must be some sort of boating there.  eat, drink, and enjoy.  What more do you need?
