  1. Just like here in the states there are movie theaters, pool halls, performing arts theater called Bellas Artes, depending on the season there are concerts, art galleries Tue in old San Juan they have Galleria night, plenty of culinary experiences as they have from the finest restaurants to local and charming "holes in the wall" types and so forth google PR and check it out.

  2. Go out, explore beyond the shore, Puerto rico has many things to do, we have a Rain Forest and with a 2 hour trip you can get to de Dry forest, there's beautiful beaches, you can go to restaurants all over the island, you have the camuy caves and caverns, you have the Observatory in Arecibo, Plaza las Americas Shopping mall, Book stores, Rio Piedras, you have the new convention center which has a beatiful park and a nice fountain, also you can go to basketball games, voleyball games, even baseball games. Just check all the alternatives and then its up to you, if you get bored here its because you want.

  3. No partying??

Ok.. you can go to one of PR's 3 bioluminescent Bays. The water glows in the dark when it's touched. Its amazing. try it.

    Mosquito Bay- Vieques

Las Croabas Lagoon (La Laguna grande) - Fajardo

    La Parguera- Lajas

  4. Then again if you are not a geek you can go out and check otu the clubs.

  5. Many things, you can go to the movies. Caribbean Cinemas, Cinevista, there are MANY choices.

Plaza Las Americas is huge...great option. Vieques is also amazing! However,

if you want to stay out of the big commercialized areas then I suggest you go to the small places, like Aibonito, Aguada, Moca. Of course, everyone goes to San Juan and the big fancy places, but for something more reserved and nice, go to small places. A classic is Aibonito, Moca and aguadilla as I mentioned.

PRicans are very nice and warm and usually smile. Just be nice and they will be nice back! Also politics should be avoided, PRicans conversations can lead to hot debates!!!

Anyway, it's normal for some people to look at you if you talk english. They will immediatly know you are a tourist, though. to blend in if you like, learn basic words like 'hola, adios' etc.

PRicans have a different accent and they talk very faster and with more slang than other spanish speakers!

dont get surprised if an outsider who speaks english gets called a 'gringa' for female, or 'gringo' for men.

This is usually harmless and they just say it to tthemselves

    have fun be safe!!!!!

    Adios
