I travel to Campinas all the time to work, and there is not much to do there if you dont speak the language. However, depending on your age and how adventure you are, there are tons of good restaurants and good clubs.

There is a theme park that is pretty cheap and it is only a 30 minute bus ride away. The name of the park is Hopi-Hari.

Campinas also has the largest mall in Latin America. The mall is called Shopping Dom Pedro, and it is worth a visit. The mall also has a couple of clubs and theaters you can go to on the weekend.

I cant remember the name of the restaurant, but it is a Japanese restaurant on the lobby of the Vitoria Hotel. If you like Japanese food, this place is a required stop. The food is awesome!

Oh, another good restaurant is called Piola. This is a pretty trendy place with good food, and great service. It is one of my favorite spots in town.

If you like historical things, there a few churches around downtown Campinas that are a worth a quick stop.

Another interesting stop is UNICAMP, one the best universities in Brazil.
