  8. There are lots of free things to do in Glasgow for a day out if you look at the earlier answers.

    Unfortunately,for the residents of Glasgow this results in the highest council taxes and councillor allowances in Britain.I used to live there and my annual bill was really disproportionate to what myself or fellow Glaswegians ever received in return.

    Suppose it's ok whenever I return- and my kids can go free to lots of attractions-however,I would feel easier if I had to pay my way as a non domiciled former Glaswegian-and my relatives and friends didn't have to foot the bill.

    There's something seriously wrong with the City Council in Glasgow and I think most straight thinking people know what it is.........................................

    Apart from that it is a truly wonderful city-enjoy!!
