Go to the beach, surf, go drinking. That's about all there is to do in Newquay. Locals avoid it, it's tacky. Suggest you find somewhere else in Cornwall, but if you have a limited budget, avoid Padstow and Rock area.

If the weather's bad you could try Fistral Spa for a massage. If not, the bar there overlooks Fistral Beach and is great for watching the surfers.

As you stated, visit the aquarium.

Take a walk round the working harbour.

Go to fistral beach, stop at a cafe and watch the surfing.

Take a walk ON or horse ride On the river gannel estuary.

Many bars do quiz nights usually on wednesday's....sailors or leadbelly's.

Ignore the word 'Tacky' !!!! newquay is a stunning location which is full of stunning views and a bay which is simply amazing...where you can see basking sharks, dolphins and our resident seals in the harbour.....it is only people who can make it tacky....not the town itself.......Enjoy yourself in beautiful Newquay!!!!!!!
