I'm going to panama with my family over christmas break.

I'm not looking foreward to it because I'm not familiar with the area and don't know what in God's name there is to do for me there. Can someone please tell me what there is to do for someone my age? (16)

  1. If you are close to the cities there is everything that you would find in a north american city; movies, malls, clubs, parties, etc. If you are on a resort away from the cities you will have to be content with the onsite activities and excursions to the city. If you get to El Valle it has a nice small zoo, nice cool streams to swim in and amazing nature walks. Loads of ruins in Panama City and a couple of neat museums, one with pre Columbian artifacts ( before Columbus). Take the ferry to Taboga and have a day on a nice beach away from the bustle. Avoid Contadora Island on the holidays as the Panamanians tend to swarm there and it can get over crowded especially around New Years.

    Enjoy the sun!

  2. nothing.

  3. I'll be in Panama as well....

There are plenty of stuff to do, but not as much if you're not 18.

I plan on visiting the Embera tribe while i'm there. I'll also be in Bocas Del Toro for 2 weeks. That's where i recomend your family to go.

in the city you can go to Panama Viejo and Casco Viejo to get a sense of Panama from when it was first founded.

Some beaches to go to are isla taboga, rio mar, venao, isla grande.

the malls are pretty sweet too: albrook and multiplaza are my two favorite malls. you can always go to the movie theatre.

go to the canal, monkey island, fishing.....

You'll have fun no matter what you do.

  4. Malls, movies, bars, dancing, going out, skateboarding, beaches, surfing, sightseeing, birdwatching, walking around and meeting new people, McDonald's, Fridays, typical food, shopping, salsa lessons, theater, bicycles, gyms, exploring a new and marvelous place and having an opportunity that not everybody has...  enjoy it while you're at it.
