  1. Honeslty, theres lots. You can go bowling, go swimming, go to the mall (phoenix and the area around has tons of cool malls), or if you want to be active, go to the indoor rockclimbing walls, or the wreck centers. Dave and Busters is a lot of fun too, but you have to be 18 or older to get in. Stay cool, az is an awesome place to be, but the summer is literal h**l.

  2. From my own experience, I would take a nap during the heat

of the day every day, unless I had a rare appointment. I did

all of my running around in the morning early, and do the

grocery shopping in the evening. Plus going out to eat. We

would often go to a place that had the outside spritzers going

and it didn't matter if we got wet. It would dry as soon as it

hit our skin.  No one has any energy during the monsoons and

115f heat. So just lie low and avoid the sun over the pool

as you'll not be refreshed anyway. You want to avoid getting

sun or heat stroke. Something I managed to get twice. Once

even in the laundry room. So you learn to live like a vampire

and only come out at night. That's the time most do for finding

something to enjoy in entertainment. If you have friends also

bored during the heat of the day, why not start a craft class or

something you can all do together. Or go to the movies where

it's nice and air conditioned. Later after it's dark, use the pool

if it's not like warm bath water.  Maybe you and some friends

can start hiking in the morning. Like the hills above Tempe.

And then when you are done, use the pool and have lunch

and then nap to recoop your energy. As you'll find it lacking

during the heat of the day. I think the Mexicans have the right

idea about taking a siesta during the day, and then they work

when it cools down a bit. There isn't alot you can do in the

heat, so try to think of the safest place you can be out of the

sun. And then be there everyday that you can.

  3. Stay inside get a job indoors or work at night. You can go out late at night but it sucks in the day time! I hate it!

  4. Stay inside!

  5. sit in the pool

  6. stay in or go to the pool

  7. Go swimming (use sunscreen and drink lots of water!),bowling, movies (lots of good movies out), go to a Phoenix Mercury game (if you're a basketball fan), indoor rock climbing, indoor fitness center, or just kick it back at home and get on the computer or watch tv, or have your friends over.

  8. Find an air conditioned shopping mall and hang out there. Make sure you drink lots of water and keep yourself well-hydrated.
