  1. Wow, what is there not to do?

I'd just say if you like sushi, a hidden jem is Tojo's.  One lady I took said, "This has got to be the best I've ever tasted."  She is a very nice lady, who has been all around the world, and lived in Asia for a number of years.

Other than that, I'd say you're in for a great time!  I'd check out Yelp.com, also I'd just ask around while you are there! We're a friendly bunch of Canuks!

  2. go to granville island for sure, mabye have lunch at bridges on the deck if weather permits.the market on the island would be right up you girl's alley.

  3. If you're going to Vancouver, you cannot leave without trying the SUSHI there.  It really is the best tasting, most affordable and FRESHEST quality you will ever find.

A good place is SHABUSEN on Granville.

Their all-you-can-eat menu is definately something to experience!

  4. Vancouver is AMAZING. Ive lived here for 24 years and wouldn't ever want to move. Granville st is super fun. You'll definately be doin alot of walking! Granville and Robson street are the two most Popular streets in Vancouver. If you're wanting to party there's endless clubs and bars, or more low key restraunts. Pacific Centre is only a few blocks from there! Have fun ladies!!! You'll love it.

  5. There is a lot to do here in Vancouver.  Unfortunately, your hotel is on the edge of a nasty area.  Don't go south on Granville St.  Just go north (towards the mountains) until you get to Robson Street.  If you go left on Robson you will soon get into an area with a lot of stores, restaurants and other stuff.  If you go right, you will go to more restaurants and to the main library.  This is a world landmark building and the library is worth seeing.  In the library on the 6th floor, you can play the piano with earphones, watch free DVDs, play cds, go on the internet and do a lot of other stuff for free.  They will help you sort out how to use the equipment.

You should also try to see some of Stanley Park (just keep going down Robson St. to the end and you are at the beginning of Stanley Park.  You can walk around the Seawall or go to the Zoo or Aquarium.

If you keep going North on Granville St., you will get to the Seabus and Gastown.  The Seabus will take you across the harbour to North Vancouver where you can get a bus to the suspension bridge or to the Goruse Mountain gondola lift.

Gastown is the old town of Vancouver with lost of stores and restaurants.  If you walk too far east, you will get into the addict area.  It's a nasty sight but not really dangerous.

Have fun here!  We love visitors.

  6. Woah.  10 girls...

There are so many things to do in Vancouver.  I was born there and lived most of my life there.  It's a beautiful city.

There is a shopping centre right there on Granville.  It starts at Sears and stretches underground north (towards mountains).  Robson Street is also a major shopping area.  Not a mall, but boutiques.  Store after store after store from around Granville down towards Stanley Park.

Stanley Park is probably the most beautiful urban park in the world.  You can easily spend a day there if that's what you like.  10 girls, maybe 2 hours will do it.

Metrotown is the huge shopping mall.  You can easily get there by hopping on the Skytrain at Granville Station and getting off at Metrotown.  It's definitely a big mall.

There's another big mall called Guildford Town Centre, but it's way out in the suburbs, and you'd need a car, or a lot of patience on transit.

If you're sporty girls, there are tons of things to do outdoors:  kayaking, jogging, hiking, skiing if the weather's alright, etc. etc.

Vancouver does have a nightlife, but it's not anything in comparison to say, Toronto, or probably even Seattle.  Robson is where everyone cruises at night.  You can easily walk there from your hotel.

Make sure to try some local beer too.

Other must-sees:  Chinatown, Gastown, Granville Island.

    Day trip?  Victoria.

    Have fun.
