What is there to do in washington dc

Question

I'm going to be going to washington dc for a month for surgery and will be on leave, so i was just wondering what all there is to do there besides like the white house and stuff like that, and also does anybody know of a country western store around the dc are thank you.

sorry, but in general, DC is really boring.

i mean, unless ur into museums, there really isnt anything here.

There is lot of shopping areas to go to and if you have never been to DC then you can take a tour mobile. I've heard they're really nice. There are also a lot of smithsonian museums in DC. There is also the National Zoo and the National Aquarium and you can do paddle boating. As far as a Country Western store I don't think I've ever seen one in DC.

the answer above me isnt true...there's plenty to do in dc i live in dc and never get bored. there's tons of restaurants to choose from-->look at zagat.com. the museums really are bad like the nga or any art museum such as the portrait gallery or the hirshorn. there's good shopping in dupont, georgetown, and if you drive out of dc to malls like tysons or columbia.  the weather right now is at its best so just take a book and go read in dupont circle, at the mall, by the canal in georgetown. the nightlife is good in adams morgan and georgetown(i cant recommend much im under 21...). also adams morgan has a lot of ethnic resturaunts and some cool shopping.

There are tons of stuff to do in D.C. Most of it is history but there are other stuff. 1. The Smithonians. They are really cool 2. Visit all the monuments 3. Take bus tours 4. go to the mall 4. They have great food.
