What is there to prove that God exists?

good arguments are good to have on both sides atheist and religious, what makes you believe that there is a God? Has any physical evidence been proven to you by God?

Yes there is physical evidence.Look around you,someone all powerful must have created everything around us.After all existence is not just some random chance.

Someone wrote scripture in the book of Leviticus from their knowledge of the germ theory 3500 + years before mankind did in the 1800's.   Someone wrote scripture in the book of Leviticus from their knowledge of the internal digestive systems of every land animal on Earth long before any human on Earth did.

Someone wrote scripture in the book of Leviticus about their knowledge of convalescence of women after childbirth long before any humans knew about it. How is that for starters.

I know God exists from personal experience.

Over the years, I have build a relationship with God. We have shared good times and the worst of times. I have prayed and He has answered.

He is my best friend. I have no doubt that "MY REDEEMER LIVES".

On the contrary, in every case that there should be evidence of an act of God/miracle, there is none.  Consider that there should be no way to hide the evidence of a world wide flood, but there isn't any.

I like to think of God this way.....

A little boy was flying a kite too high to see. along came his best friend. he asked little tim, how do you know that kite is still up there, I do not see it...Tim told his best friend, I can tell it is still up in the clouds because I can feel it tugging at my hand...

that is just how it is with God...I still feel Him tugging at my heartstrings.

God is so good and He is my very best friend in the whole world. I can go to HIM when I have heartaches and He gives me comfort and strength.

So why doesn't more people love Him and trust Him.

You need no proof as conceptually speaking God does exist.  In other words God was/is a creation of humanity utilized to explain that which science and philosophy can't adequately explain.  Here is a good example: Lightening strikes/struck and still does...but historically folks didn't know how/why/or what in terms of Lightening so they immediately attributed it to a God or Gods.  As science advanced and explained Lightening and it's associated processes poof those God(s) vanished from the scene.  Additionally, religion was very complex in ancient times with myriad Gods & Goddesses to explain virtually any and every process in nature or human emotion.  

Various powers that be determined that filling the coffers of the various deities would be virtually impossible so like anything else religion changed from a mult-theistic view to a mono-theistic view of the world.  Additionally, those powers determined that it's far easier to control the masses by creating a risk-reward system associated with the ONE God..Heaven & h**l.  The life of the ancient person who wasn't particularly bleessed with either power or wealth was at best miserable so the "nobility" created the idea that there could an ultimate reward for the suffering at their hands in Heaven...In order to control the masses there had to be the converse so if you were to strike out against your "Lord" as a vassal/serf you'd be banished to h**l.  In many ways that hope of Heaven served to brighten the lives of countless millions/billions of folks under that system of living.  

Today it's clearly outmoded as no longer server "Lords" and are controlled by more humane or at least we percieve them to be humane government formats than fudalism.  Additionally, our science and philosophy continue to flourish pushing the God concept further and further aside.  Not only that but humanity needs to continue learning that WE and WE alone are responsible for our actions or lack there of...not some unseen, unproven entity (God).  Place faith in one another rather than a God...Of course the arguement can be made that we haven't yet answered the fundamental question that many folks ask...Why am I/are we here?  That is the concept of God still exists.  PEACE!

absolutely nothing. In fact, all the talk about mountain tops and voices from the sky... beams of light... and messages carved on rock before we had the technology to do it ourselves all point more towards alien intervention.

The way I look at it is this......,.Do you have any proof that George Washington existed?  The answer would be yes, by what people have written....Jesus...God....what people have written.  So if you are saying just by what The Bible says..is fake (hypothetically), Then did George Washington exist?  I have faith in God, I have witnessed miracles, when my grandfather was sick...and the heart attacks my father has gone through.  I look at my children everyday, and feel it in my heart, and know that I have been Blessed.
