What is there to see/do in Topeka/Kansas City KS?

What is there to see/do in Topeka/Kansas City, KS? I'm aiming for something for a few adults in their 20s and two little kids. Looking for to do and to see for both age groups.

LOL, yah i live in KC, there isnt much to do!  But if your vacationing, its alot better.  I'd say the zoo, that would be fun, and they have 'Science City' which is fun for kids and adults.  

Drive inn movies! A must do!  The twin drive inn, in Independence is very close to kansas city, and its so fun. Its hard to find anything to do in the midwest, thats why there is a HUGE bar scene here.  But check out the zoo and everything for the kids, they'll like that.

Topeka has a great museum just off interstate 70 on the west end.

Fort Leavenworth has a very nice museum also.
