  1. Thermal Equilibrium

It is observed that a higher temperature object which is in contact with a lower temperature object will transfer heat to the lower temperature object. The objects will approach the same temperature, and in the absence of loss to other objects, they will then maintain a constant temperature. They are then said to be in thermal equilibrium. Thermal equilibrium is the subject of the Zeroth Law of Thermodynamics.

  2. the type of equilibrium where both the bodies in contact have exactly equal temperature after certain flow of heat from higher temp. 2 lower

  3. When two objects are in contact heat can flow by conduction.  If one object is hotter than the other net heat will flow to the cooler object.  When the two objects are in thermal equilibrium as much heat will flow from object one to two as flows from two to one and they will both maintain the same temperature.  Temperature is a measure of the average vibrations of the atoms and molecules in the objects, where vibrations increase with increased temperature and can be passed on to adjacent atoms and molecules within and between the objects.
