  1. Heat is defined as the form of energy that is transferred across a boundary by virtue of a temperature difference. So. if you pick up a hot cup of coffee, you want your cup material to have high thermal resistivity (styrofoam) vs. low (metal) so your fingers don't get burnt. In other words, the higher the thermal resistivity, the slower the heat will flow from the hot coffee to your cooler fingers.


  2. Its the ability or the property of a material to resists the thermal conductivity or flow of thermal energy that is heat through itself...........................
