This special pooja is conducted on all Thiruvonam days. Vidya Gopala mantra archana is conducted for betterment in eduction to children.thiruvOna vratham or srAvan vratham falls on the sravan star every month. SravaNa is supposed to be the birth star of Tirupati Balaji and as such this day is dedicatd to mahA Vishnu. Observance of this vratham is supposed to give progeny. To observe this vratham, you should be on no-salt vegetarian diet on this day and offer prayers to mahA Vishnu. As neyvedhyam (offerring) sweet milk (pAl pAyasam) should be offerred and the pradas should be five children. You can also perform puja at vaishnav temples.
