What is this 'Thumbs.db'?

I can't see these file on Windows Explorer but when I scan the folder, there are lots of them taking lots of spaces on my hard disk. How can I deleted these files? If I delete these files, will it be harmful to my PC?

  1. The thumbs.db is a file that is created so that when you view the folders on your computer, it shows an image for each folder, a picture, instead of just an icon.

    You can delete them if you want, but they will be recreated next time you view that folder.

  3. These file are little databases windows uses to store preloaded image previews you are fine deleting them but when you open a folder with photo previewing on it will just make a new one. They will not hurt your computer and they are normal.
