ok well i planted 5 pumpkin plants and one butternut squash plant but i dont know what ones are pumpkin and whats butternut squash lol

so here is a pic of the one i can get to lol (they have taken over half my garden) also how can i stop mp plants being eaten by slugs? i used slug pellets or what ever they are but they aint working..

here is the pic of my unknown veg lol

  1. LOL, I had the same problem.....name that squash!  

    My butternut did not look like that last year, but its been years since I seen a baby pumpkin.

    For the slugs, crush up your egg shells and throw them in  your garden.  Use an empty veggie can, lid off, and dig a small hole in your garden where you see slugs.  Pour beer in the can.  They will go to the can and die.  Its kinda nasty, but it definately works.


  2. that's a pumpkin, butternut squash usually have a waist and commonly have a "dumb bell" shape. recess a cake pan near your plants so that the edge is even with the top of the soil, fill with beer(crappy or skunked will work just fine)the following day or so you should have a few drowned slugs.
