What is this Puerto Rican food (taco thing?)?

One of my friends mentioned that there was a Puerto Rican food that resembled a taco. It's name just poped out of my head. I think it sounds something like Chumpa, or Chumpala, it has a ch in it somewhere. If you have any idea what it's called plz tell me. thx

  1. It is a Chalupa!! A chalupa is a kind of tostada platter in a Mexican cuisine :)


  2. Im almost positive that chalupas are a Mexican thing...my mom is from Puerto Rico and she said she's never had a chalupa that wasnt from taco bell. Plus, whenever I go to my abuelas house we dont have them...Empanadas kinda look like tacos though...if you tilt your head and close both eyes...is that what youre thinking of???
