  1. It's Bring your own Booze....

Only certain restaurants are allow to do this.  Most of the older allow this because they have  it grandfather  in there license.

Most of the newer places will not allow this..  There is a new law that passed, that you can take home your bottle of wine if you could not finish it.  It has to me placed in a sealed plastic bag with the restaurant's name of the outside of the bag. They are very, very strick about this.

  2. I would talk to the local authorities (zoning, etc.).  BYOB means that you do not have (or want to have) a liquor license and you supply glasses for those customers who wish to bring a bottle of wine for their dinner.

Some restaurants charge a 'corking fee' to open the customer's wine bottle, FYI.

    Good luck in your endeavors!

  3. byob = bring your own bottle

sounds like  in theory you can order food from and bring your own drink

  4. well BYOB means "BY YOUR OWN BEER" so, i guess it means like don't steal, or don't mooch it off other peope to buy it for you...

or byob can mean "BRING YOUR OWN BOTTLE" but i don't get how that can make sense...
