  1. As Hatir Ba Loon said, it is most likely some form of a light bulb. There have been hieroglyphs found, particularly those found inside the Temple of Hathor at Dendera, depicting what is believed to be a type of bulb. Erich von Daniken--a Swiss author who received a lot of criticism for his theories on extraterrestrial influence on the ancient world (read: Stonehenge, the Egyptian pyramids, the statues of Easter Island, etc.)--- believed these objects were a type of ancient light bulb. He believed the lotus flower at the narrow base of the tube was the socket of the bulb; the snake inside of the tube was the filament; the djed pillar holding the tube up acted as an insulator and was a source and symbol of power and stability; the baboon holding the knives was a symbol of protection and defense, symbolizing the danger from using such a tool if one did not understand or use it correctly; and of course the tube itself was believed to be an ancient electric light bulb.

The ancient Egyptians were one of most advanced civilizations of their time. The earliest known piece of medical literature (the Edwin Smith Papyrus) was from ancient Egypt. The ancient Egyptians were among the first people to have an understanding of the human anatomy, and with this knowledge they were among the first to have performed surgeries, dissections and even autopsies. The first 365-day calendar was developed by Egyptians.  And our modern-day alphabet? If it wasn't for ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic writing, the Phoenician alphabet and later alphabets may not have existed.

  3. It is a device, a rather technical one, I have seen something like this explained on a William Henry DVD titled >>The Lost Secrets of Jesus (The Wand and the Ring)...I will watch it again later and get back to you on it...

    In Light...)O(

Edit :- I was thinking about The Osiris Device which is far different to what you have shown us with your picture...

Anyone who has said it was a light bulb is correct in that assumption...I have a couple of site for you and also a video of it working...

  4. Most likely? A Primitive form of light bulb. The idea that they could have had something like that isn't as far fetched as it sounds...Jars in the middle east that for years had been labeled "Ceremonial jars", have been found to be a primitive form of battery...So at least a form of knowledge of electricity and some of it's uses is quite possible...and with the proliferation of "word of mouth" secrets handed from master to student...such knowledge could have existed, been limited to an elite few (secret society of priests) and lost because of it *not* being written down.

One of the puzzling facts is the lack of smoke marks inside the great pyramid, even in areas of elaborate paintings...a primitive light bulb, battery driven, would have been able to provide the light, and also been a "miracle" of the priesthood (more than likely attributed to Ra)...

  5. a tablet? XDDDD
