  1. Do you mean a Japanese type of restaurant where the chef cooks the food on the table in front of you?  If so, it's called teppanyaki.  Here's what I found in reference.com:

In Japan, teppanyaki may refer to any of a number of dishes cooked using a teppan, including okonomiyaki, yakisoba, and monjayaki, frequently with the hot plate located in the center of the diners' table. The form of teppanyaki most familiar to North Americans consists of steak and other meats, along with vegetable accompaniments. In North America, it is also known by the name of hibachi, and the establishments are often referred to as "Japanese steakhouses."

  2. I think the type of restaurant as you sail should be in the open air , and I have seen in Thailand , it name " dawn market" or in Thai will named it "TA-LAD-TO-RUNG".  It means the dist will serve all the lately night till dawn  like Suan Lum Night Barzaar , central Bangkok.

  3. shabu-shabu!!!

  4. Shogun?

    Live dinner?

  5. Japanese Steakhouse is the generic name for resturants where they throw the food around in front of you and then into your plate. It's super fun!
