What is this bug/caterpillar?

i found this bug in a hole in my lawn. Can anyone tell me what it is? Here are pictures:

It's a larva of something. It looks a bit like a "leatherjacket" or crane fly larva, but it's a bit fatter.

It might be the june bug,  actually a beetle, larvae or grub.

It looks like the Caterpillar of the cabbage white butterfly.
