What is this bug/ insect?

it looked like an ant , ran like a spider, had like fur kindofish like a bee and it was red with a black stripe , and also had a stinger

Put on a thick soled shoe and stomp on it.

It's a Velvet Ant. They are quite interesting to watch and always a good part of a bug collection. Congrads on seeing one.
