I recently purchased a computer, and having noticed quite loud and annoying buzzing sounds while I am doing tasks or other things on the pc. I noticed it a little with my other pc, but with this one it's really quite annoying. If you watch a video that is really low volume, and you need to increase your volume on your speakers to max, you may be able to experience it, but it's strange because I haven't touch the volume on the speakers at all.

What is this and anyone to stop it?

  1. Make sure you've plugged in the speakers properly into the CPU ports. I've noticed this kind of sound when it was a little loose. Also, make sure to keep them away from heavy electrical wiring by a metre or so.

  2. There's probably a technical name for it, but for simplicity's sake its basically over-amplification/feedback. Try turning the volume down on the speakers and adjust the volume using the OSes volume control instead.

  3. Try moving the speakers further apart.  Further away from the monitor and each other. If you have a store bought system where you can't switch the wires around like positive to negative or negative to positive then I would bring the speakers back for replacement - if the first idea didn't work.
