  1. i wouldn't worry about it because its just a standard green hair algae...if you really want to get rid of it get your siphon and gently brush it over the top of the rock where its growing...it should peel off very easily...

if you ever get red slime algae then you have a problem..

  2. It's called hair algae, and if you don't prepare for it, it can be a scourge.

Add in a few astrea snails and it'll disappear quickly.

It may not be relevant, though. Your tank will be crashing no matter what you do. You don't put 4 fish in a 10 gallon tank with saltwater, and you certainly don't put in any corals. Nor do you add corals when the tank's only been running for 3 weeks. Simple, cursory research would have told you this. Consider your animal investments to be lost money.

I'm normally not rude, but this is very basic stuff that you should've found out before stepping into a store to buy an aquarium. The only solution is that you did no research before plunking down the money. Go do your homework before killing anymore pets.

  3. the green stuff on your rock isnt too bad, they are good filter feeders as well as the purple aglae. people actually add what they call purple up to actually get those. if you want to reduce that sutff u should do 20 percent water change every week for about a month and reduce the lighting hours, and after u finished cycling, algae growth should reduce and grow only a little.(cycling for your tank can take about a month and a half) and one more advice, u should never add any corals until u finishes cycling and 4 fish sounds too crowded, maybe a pair of clowns. ive made alot of mistakes by adding corals before it was cycled and it died.. well good luck on your tank

  4. WERE ya born yesterday its called algae.... WOW

  5. It's just algae.  It will not harm your fish.  There are several remedies.  I resort to algae eaters or you can purchase algae killer and vacuum it out after it's died and you've loosened it from any surfaces it's on.  Good luck!
