What is this horror movie called?

I watch this movie when i was very young.. I think its somewhere around 80s to 90s...

I remember the starting part, a girl saw a ball in a dark room...

Then there's a small man like midget, a good friend that turns into a little monster by this troll or monster whatever...

There are rooms here and there fills with living plants with small hideous creatures and ya, at one part the monsters sing...!

The girl lives with her family and brother..

The brother found out his little sister is captured and was put inside a glass coffin unconsious... when he rescued his sister there is a troll like monster and a giant monster chasing after them... all i remember the last part something like the whole apartment is torn down by the plant monster bursting out from inside i think...

I can't recall the title of the movie...

Help please anybody who knows?
