What is this? i need some help..?

ok well my potatoes have grown all big and have had flowers on them.. now the flowers have fallen off and there is some sort of seed type thing where the flowers were before..

what are they? there round and green like a grape, should i cut them off? i dont know lol its the first time i've ever grown them..

potatoes are grown from the "Eyes " of  the potato . you can buy seed potatoes ,but i have never seen potato seeds .did you plants seeds of some sort ?

The green tomato like balls are the seeds. However I never heard of anybody growing potatoes from these above-growing seeds. Potatoes are started from small potatoes, which are planted in the spring, because potatoes are not frost hardy.

It seems to me you want to experiment with the seeds of the potatoes. The seeds are probably ripe when the vines die down as is the case with other vegetables and dry them. My guess is you sow the harvested seed in the spring. Growing in a pot you can observe the process and learn something new. Have fun!

Yes, those are seeds.  But it's a lot easier to grow a potato plant by planting a potato than it is to grow them from seed.  It's really best to remove the seeds so the plant will be able to put more energy into growing nice potatoes underground.  There's nothing tastier than a freshly dug tater.
