its like a dumpling except not small it can fit in the palm of your hand and the flavor is like curry and its made of dough and fried its like bread kinda on the outside and in the inside is patotes its really good and i like it. what is it called??

It's aloo tikki, ragda patty, samosa, pakora, veg cutlet or batata vada --- these are all regional variations of what you are describing.

But my guess is Batata Vada:  (round)

You have described Potatot Batata, also known as Wada. Boiled potatoes and spices are mixed to make patties. A chickpea batter is made. The potatoes patties are dipped in the battter and deep fried in vegetable oil.

Potato (Batata) Wada (Battered Potato Dumpling) Recipe

Step1 Prepare Potato Patties

Ingredients

1. Boiled Potatoes: 5

Choose Russet potatoes. Slightly undercook.

2. Garlic: 2 Cloves, Peeled and minced

3. Ginger: ½", Peeled and chopped

4. Cilantro: 2 Tablespoon, washed leafs picked, stem discarded, chopped

5. Serrano: 2 Washed chopped

6. Cumin Powder: 1 teaspoon

7. Lime juice: 1 Tablespoon

Method

1. Skin and mash potatoes. Mix with rest of the ingredients.

2. Pinch the mix, form a ball and slightly press it. You want about 2 to 2½" round, and ¼ to 3/8" thick patties. Set patties aside.

1. Preheat Deep fryer to 350º F

2. Dip patties in the batter and deep fry till golden brown. It will take about 5 minutes.
