What is this instrument?

It was in the show spongebob where spongebob has rancid breath and starts saying hello to the band coming down the street? He lists all these common instruments (trombone, etc) but then they show a fish in what looks to be dashiki and they are playing a low humming instrument..Think its African?

It exists in some music, and I don't know what it's called...But it sounds interesting in rock music.

Anyways, I just need to know what instrument it is...Thanks.

It's called a didgeridoo.  It's an aboriginal musical instrument the lips are vibrated against to make a deep throbbing hum.
