i had anterior knee reconstruction 7 years ago and recently my knee has become very sore for around 10 minutes at a time. it hurts to put weight on it and to fully extend it, although bending the knee is fine if still a little sore. this morning for absolutely no reason it has been like it for 4 hours and i cant walk properly. i have not recently fallen or twisted it so i have no idea why it has started to do this. i am overweight but i have been since the last operation and i have very few problems. It is not swollen or bruised, maybe a little bit of fluid but as i have experience of this, nothing like what is usual for this amount of pain and lack of movement! please help!

  1. time to visit your doctor

  2. I am not a doctor, but overweight can increase pressure to your bone..... good lifestyle and good diet will help you, medicine like pain killer can support you, to relief the symptoms like pain and swollen....consult your doctor....do soft exercise for your bone

  3. few doctors tell you those surgeries don't last long.  they usually fail or get worse again in 5-10 years.  my first surgery lasted about 10 years but my ortho told me this time i'll be lucky if a last a couple years because it's been worked on before he says next step is replacement and those have to be redone too.
