I had a cavity filled on my front tooth, and had very bad pain. Was only sensitive to cold, not hot. Dentist told me to brush with Sensodine and it went away. I'm having these painless throbbing sensations (about 4 months after cavity filled) and now a bubble or pimple like thing is beginning to grow. It's been about 2-3 weeks and now is slightly bigger and growing down toward tooth. It does NOT hurt..just feel a little bit of pressure. What the heck is going on?

  1. Definitely it is a gumboil. Go back to your dentist and have a root canal treatment done. Gumboil is a result of bacterias from the carious tooth most likely from a leftover overlooked cavity or a crack or leakage from a previous filling that encroach the borders of the pulp and eventually death of it hence you don't feel any pain. Painless tooth doesn't mean you're off the hook. Failure to treat this problem just increases it. So take care.
