Question:

What is this pain and a strange pulsing in my upper left abdomen?

I have had a pain in my upper left abdomen (under my left ribs) for a couple months now. I had an ultrasound done when the pain first started, but the results were normal. I just figured the pain would go away, because the doctor said nothing was wrong. However, the pain has not gone away... in fact, recently, it started getting worse. And, I've noticed a pulsing feeling in my abdomen, which feels like my heart is in my stomach. I read that this could be an abdominal aortic aneurysm.. but wouldn't that have shown up on my ultrasound?

  1. Go back to your doctor/GP. It might be normal but it's better to be on the safe side.

  2. GO TO THE DOCTOR NOW!  BETTER YET....GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM.

A pulsing abdomen is not a good thing to have.

Worst case scenario.....Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm.  You can research it and the signs and symptoms.

They may have missed it on the ultrasound.  If you have a AAA and it bursts...YOU WILL DIE!  I don't mean to sound harsh but it's the truth.

Get in the car and go to the ER!
