i am 38 weeks 3 days pregnant.

for the past few days i have had sharp (but not ver painful) pains in my rightside.

what happens is my right side gets tight and hard and them relaxes, its not very painful and them sometimes i get cramps again not very painful.

I have tryed to time them but they are not at regualr intervals.

I am unsure if this is my baby moving about because it is always on the right side anyway or if this is braxton hicks or early labour!!!

all answers greatly appreciated.... x*x

  1. It sounds like early labour to me but it could be just braxton hicks contractions.

If they arent in regular intervals and the pain doesnt get stronger then it is just braxton hicks.

Contact your midwife though just to be sure.

Don't worry; it sounds like braxton hicks; especially because they're not coming in regular intervals. I've been having them like crazy and I'm only 25 weeks & the sharp pains are from your ligaments stretching . The baby is putting a lot of pressure on them. Just remember; any blood, weird discharge or if they start coming at regular intervals, head to the hospital asap. Even if it is "early" labor; you're almost 39 weeks; the baby is d**n near ready to come out! So nothing to worry about.

    Congratulations!!

  3. there are braxton hicks. not to worry. when you going be in labour you going to have pain like before or during your period, and they will be getting more often and more painful.
