What is this plant??? (see picture)?

Question

I saw this plant in Connecticut along a walking trail. It looks like little evergreen plants with this beautiful flower (like) part in the middle. I took this picture a couple weeks ago. Any info would be fabulous.

It is Cypress Spurge.

If I am looking at the correct picture, I'd say it is a perennial tamed plant growing wild. We had this same plant at  a house I lived in when I was very young. A kind of ground cover. Sorry I don't know a name.
