What is this?!?

Question

i found this bug on my driveway and i thought taht it was a katidid or something. but then i flipped it over and it had a HUGE yellow stinger and giant black and white wings. i have no idea what it is and i was just wondering if someone did know.

it is a moth of some sort possibly a gypsy moth female
