I'm paraphrasing--I think it might be from Nietzsche? Thank you for any help with this.

  1. i dont know who it is from ..seems like it must have been the words of a sad person..in todays life, i think it would relate to a mundane day to day existence of work ,home, shopping, kids, busy weekends etc..with no respite...but i disagree with the saying because we can change our lifestyles and thus our lives.

  2. It means no matter the good or difficulties in life, we have to continue to live with them.  The beauty is when good things happen like a child is born or you win a trip to Paris or something like that.  The tragedy is that if there is a natural disaster or if a loved one dies and we still must continue living.  Life can both be beautiful and tragic, kind of like yin and yang.  We cannot change the horrible and tragic occurrences that happen in our lives, we cannot turn back time and prevent them, so all we can really do is continue to live.

  3. It's basically like "no matter what happens, you are here". Like if something good happens, you're there to experience it. But say if the majority of your close friends died while you were all taking a trip, but you survived, you'd have to live with that. Unless you killed yourself, I suppose.-_-

  4. I think you can compare it to "no matter where you are you're here".  Even if really good things happen (winning 1 mil in the lottery) or horrible (you lose your family in a disaster) you still must get up the next day and keep living.  There will be sublime experiences and there will be awful ones, but that is the human condition. Life goes on.
