Question:

What is this small, wild fish??

They skim a long the top of the water. They are very fast. They are a couple inches long, brown on the top, a black line going completely the length of the body, and white on the bottom. The mouth is right on the front/top of the face. They are a fresh water fish in Wisconsin. I keep seeing them but don't know what they are. Never seen them more than two to three inches long. I would like know what they are and if you know any good websites describing them. Thank you!

  2. where did you find it - I'm curious too..!!  We used to have something like that in a few of the streams where I great up at - the crappies tore them up when I managed to catch enough of them - took a long time.
