What is this spidery thing??

This was in a spider web at the bottom of my basement stairs.. seriously.. what is this!!??

it looks like some sort of bug that got caught in the web.

when something gets stuck the spider goes up to it and paralyzes it, then covers it in the same stuff they make they're webs out of (silk).

they then eat it out of the casing they put around it.

but it could be almost anything that got stuck in there!
