What is this stuff on my 10 gal tank

Question

I have this 10 gal tank that I have previously kept 3 frogs,a chunk of driftwood,branches from outside and a cave ornament.I feed them crickets and had the tank full of water since they love to swim.After 2 weeks this orange-ish red and white flake-like stuff spreading on the sides of my versa top and my fluval 1 plus filter.I scaped it off and it grew back within a minute.

im pretty sure its algae and it was built up on the filter and when you scraped it off it just made room for the other stuff.

Well, i don't know exactly what it is but try not to keep to much water in the tank and if they are store bought frogs then you really shouldn't keep outside things in the tank. That is all I know
