I had a bad cold early this year and I still feel mucus in my upper chest and I wanted to know what I can do to get rid of it. It feel like its beginning to bother me when I sleep and have some difficulty breathing. Then last week out of no where I started to spit up some blood with mucus and I did not even drink any juices, only water. This doesn’t sound normal to me and I was wondering if you guys may have an idea what this may be? Does this sound like a serious illness trying to develop? Can they remove the mucus?

  1. Um, spitting up blood can have severe, deadly consequences. You sound like you have pneumonia. You need to get checked, now. Call your doctor, or go to the E.R. Pneumonia is fluid in your lungs (mucus) and it not only makes you tired, your heart has to do the work of both your lungs and your heart, you can actually drown in your sleep.
